Using CoSpaces for VR
The virtual reality project below was created with Cospaces. This online tool allows for users to create their own worlds in either virtual reality or augmented reality. It is designed to be a very interactive experience for the person who enters the virtual world. There are a plethora of cool features that allow for maximum creativity and endless possibilities.
Cospaces ties into Danielson's framework mostly through domain 3 - instruction. This is because virtual and augmented reality are great tools for learning. This is because they are extremely engaging and cause the student to be interested in what they are learning. As a teacher, one of the most crucial keys to successful learning is to get your students engaged, and cospaces does a great job at that. Because the virtual worlds are unique and creative, students will be able to remember the experience more and will be more successful in remembering the material.
Both the ISTE standards and the 4 C's are exemplified through the use of cospaces. When thinking about the "C" creativity, cospaces exceeds many other digital tools. This is because cospaces allows for the user to make nearly anything they can think of. As mentioned earlier, the possibilities are endless. Using cospaces is also related to the ISTE standard #5, computational thinker. While manipulating things in cospaces, certain coding is required for animations and for interactive things. This requires that the student think in a logical way in order to understand the algorithm of coding. Doing this develops their computational skills and therefore supports the ISTE standard.
